There are many organisations around Australia (and the world) who offer support for young people dealing with mental health issues. We've outlined some recognisable and reputable ones below, to help educators who may be looking to aid their learners.


Headspace: Headspace is a non-profit organisation who provide support for young people around Australia. They aim to support issues regarding mental and physical health, as well as alcohol and drug abuse, and can also provide study/work help. Headspace offers online services in addition to their physical centres. Arrangements can also be made for school visits.


Beyond Blue: Beyond Blue are an Australian organisation who specifically focus on providing support to those impacted by anxiety, depression, and suicide. The organisation offers over-the-phone support to Australians, as well as online consultations and forums. While Beyond Blue mainly targets to assist adults, they provide useful resources for supporting young people.


Kids Helpline: Kids Helpline is another Australian organisation who offer online and phone counselling services to people aged 5-25. They operate 24/7 and are committed to confidentiality and the empowerment of young Australians.


Be You: This is a digital resource designed for educators in supporting the mental health of young people. It includes resources and strategies.
